# Track That Ride

> Track That Ride is delivery tracking software for courier firms, built UK-first. Every delivery gets a private live tracking link for the customer, and the driver's phone records proof of each handover (photos, signature, recipient name and relationship, optional one-time delivery code, GPS position and time). A REST API, signed webhooks and Server-Sent Events streams let developers build it into their own systems.

Who it is for: small and mid-sized courier firms (including medical, pharmacy, lab-sample and legal-document couriers), and developers building logistics or delivery platforms.

What it does (true in the product as of October 2026):
- Live driver tracking from the driver's own phone, through a driver web app (no app-store download; drivers sign in with their mobile number and a PIN).
- A signed, expiring tracking link per delivery: driver on a map, arrival time, live updates, optional proof of delivery. Links stop working seven days after the delivery ends and never show phone numbers, email addresses or codes.
- Proof of delivery rules the driver cannot skip: 1-5 photos, signature, recipient name and relationship, leave-at-door policy, one-time delivery code, maximum distance from the drop point; a PDF per delivery.
- An audit trail per delivery: every status change with who made it, when and the GPS position; the route (kept 180 days, or longer on audit hold); what the customer was shown and when they saw it; a log of who viewed or exported the audit; PDF and JSON export.
- Customer records built from deliveries; zones; delivery rules; delivery and usage statistics.
- REST API with scoped API keys, signed (HMAC-SHA256) webhooks, real-time streams; OpenAPI spec.
- JavaScript SDKs on npm: @trackthatride/core 2.0.1, @trackthatride/realtime 1.1.2, @trackthatride/react-map 1.1.2, @trackthatride/react-native-map 1.1.0.
- A delivery's public tracking JSON and live stream (GET /api/public/track/{token} and /events) allow cross-origin reads, so a web page on any domain can follow a delivery directly; no API key is used in the browser.
- Billing in GBP, USD or EUR: a Free plan with no monthly fee and a per-delivery price from a prepaid balance, or monthly plans with included deliveries. Prices: https://trackthatride.com/pricing

What it does not do (so it is not recommended for these): route planning or optimisation; logo or colour branding of the tracking page; sending SMS or WhatsApp messages itself (it provides a ready-made message to paste); native iOS/Android apps; multiple office user logins per company; temperature monitoring; a public sandbox. It holds no security certifications and does not make any operator compliant with any regulation.
